Aerotek Environmental Services is actively seeking Surveyor.
Job Description:
The Surveyor is responsible for the construction staking of new building construction.
Requirements:
- The main role of the Surveyor is the quality control aspect on the layout of a building or a utility pipe system.
- Clean MVR required.
- Must be familiar with equipment used - Trimble Total Station (2man, GPS and Robotic).
Performance Expectations:
- Ability to shoot points (shooting grade or utility pipe layout).
- Ability to shoot building corners and set and entire grid. (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to take CAD drawings and import that into their own model to shoot points (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to go from point to point on a new building and make corrections as needed.
- Ability to work with and manage subcontractors.
- Must be a Critical Thinker - ability to see a problem with the survey before the actual construction activity begins.

- Mileage during the day is covered by the company.
- Performance is based on accuracy and the ability to locate problems on the survey.
