Job Description
As the manager of Rehabilitation Services you will plan, organize and manage the staff and activities of Rehabilitation Services to ensure the quality and efficiency of care rendered. You will also monitors/administers treatments in accordance with the written and signed prescription and/or referral of a licensed physician or other State authorized practitioner.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manages and implements staffing requirements. Monitors and improves productivity of service.
- Recommends, implements and adheres to approved operating goals, objectives and budget. Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.
- Oversees maintenance of equipment to ensure constant operation and makes recommendations for purchase of capital and non-capital equipment.
- Ensures coordination, integration, communication, implementation, integrity and evaluation of operating policies and procedures.
- Develops and manages directly reporting management, and oversees the development and management of their staff.
- Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental work relationships to optimize operations.
- Ensures compliance with government and agency regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy, required. Master's/Doctorate Degree, preferred. OR Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, required.
- Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist in the State of New York.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in related discipline including one (1) year supervisory experience, required. Three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferred
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Experience, preferred
