Accounting Clerk - Payroll

A successful Payroll Clerk will have the following:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in accounting or related field (or degree in progress) is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Six + months of experience working directly with payroll.
• Understanding of Excel, Word, and Outlook, and other software applications.
• Ten key by touch is preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are preferred.
• Eagerness and ability to perform repetitive tasks.

The Payroll Accounting Clerk is an entry level position that is responsible for compiling timecard data, computing data, filing, and reporting. This is a high volume position that works at a fast pace so strong attention to detail is required.

• Process high-volume bi-weekly payroll efficiently and accurately.
• Develop customer service and communication skills.
• Process manual payroll checks as needed.
• Assist with copying, filing, and administrative projects.
• Prioritize work tasks, being dependable in meeting deadlines.
• Respond to assignments with interest in learning more about the job and the business.
