Maintenance Technician

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (2nd or 3rd Shift) – Battle Creek, MI area

STRONG ELECTRICAL BACKGROUND - NEED JOURNEYMAN Millwright, Electrician, etc. -- $28.00 per hour

Utilize mechanical, basic electrical and pneumatic/hydraulic expertise to diagnose issues and then implement the best solutions to equipment-related manufacturing challenges, thereby maximizing equipment efficiency to achieve the team’s goals in an exemplary manner according to the company quality policies.

Minimum Education Requirements: Qualified candidates will possess a Journeyman Card

Abilities Requirements: Qualified candidates must possess mechanical knowledge, experience in machine repair of either metal stamping equipment, spot/resistance welding, robotic welders, or grinding and finishing equipment, the ability to read, follow and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals and manufacturers’ specifications, experience in welding, layout, and construction skills, including arc, MIG, TIG, aluminum, TIG steel, oxy-acetylene welding and the use of a plasma cutter is preferred, experience in operating all “tools of the trade” such as mills, lathes, cutting equipment, metal shear and brake, experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting and the ability to read and understand advanced electrical prints and schematics as needed to facilitate complex repairs or installation of equipment is desired, and an excellent work record, including attendance
