Primary Responsibilities:

Directs and supervises all pharmacy staff (20+ Pharmacists, Techs) and activities including drug preparation, sterile product preparation, dispensing and clinical pharmacy services
Works closely with other members of the management team (Manger: Intake, Nursing, Med Records / Facilities) to ensure customer service excellence and constant focus on quality improvement
Ensures all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet all licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies as well as accrediting bodies (e.g. TJC, URAC)
Oversees the procurement of drugs, supplies and equipment used in preparing and administering drugs
Ensures compliance with all controlled substances related rules, regulations and Company policies in coordination with other departments and staff
Provides input in the preparation of the budget and develops policies and procedures and assures compliance thereof
Functioning as the Branch PIC, must be aligned with corporate legal department to ensure branch pharmacy licensures all remain in good standing
Work with other management / leaders regarding all handling of complaints and grievance
Collaborates as needed in supporting the Sales team as clinical pharmacy Subject Matter Expert
Maintains clinical skills and knowledge of pharmacotherapy and intravenous therapy by reviewing the literate and attending in-services, seminars and conferences

Required Qualifications:

BS Pharmacy or Pharm D
Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in TX
5+ years of experience in a health care system
IV Therapy Experience
Working knowledge of processes related to sterile compounding to meet regulatory compliance requirements (USP 797 / USP 800)
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years in pharmacy management including leading staff and operations
Experience with managing staff including hiring, developing / motivating and directing
Home infusion experience
Strong analytical skills (calculations, budgets, data reports)
