Summary
Inside sales intern with a focus on resale cost management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify true landed costs for resale items.
- Perform market research to identify acceptable mark ups in the market place, research products that we may need to carry.
- Perform web research on potential customers and projects.
- Provide customer service while working at the sales counter.
- Enter detailed parts information, prepare purchase orders and other documentation.
- Proactively communicate (by phone, letter-writing, email, face-to-face contact) with potential prospects.
- Collaborate with outside sales team, to help identify opportunities for resale lines.
- Learn and understand Lawson software.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional Skills
- Pursuing undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or Accounting.
- Telephone sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel and to learn new software programs quickly.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Professional writing skills required.
- Analytical and problem solving ability.
- Possess integrity and commitment to quality work.
- Project management skills.
Experience
- Prior summer internship experience a plus.
- Prior experience in a customer service or sales role a plus.
