JOB OVERVIEW
An Albertsons Pharmacy Clerk efficiently provides courteous customer service and assists the Pharmacist on duty in maintaining the clean and orderly appearance of the pharmacy area, prioritizing work, and processing prescription orders in compliance with Federal and State laws and company policies and procedures.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides prompt, courteous and knowledgeable customer service.
- Assists the Pharmacist in maintaining the clean/orderly appearance of the Pharmacy area.
- Answers the phone and refers phone requests from physicians, patients, and others which require a pharmacist’s knowledge, to the pharmacists.
- Confirms completeness of patient’s records; requests missing information as appropriate and retrieves customer’s Pharmacy records for verification by the Pharmacist.
- Accesses the Pharmacy computer to obtain complete patient record.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must work required schedule.
- Must perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must read, understand and interpret technical written data.
- Adapt to changes in schedules and work priorities.
- Complies with all Company policies including confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, attendance, grooming standards and dress codes.
- Possesses adequate quantitative, analytical and communication skills.
- Must meet all state laws and regulations.
