Billing - Full-time / Part-time

We are looking for a reliable multi-tasker to join the Medical Billing team and undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will handle the processing of incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork.

The Ideal Candidate will have 2-4 years of medical billing experience. Hospice experience a plus.

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Evaluation Hire  
PAY RANGE: $11/hr  
SCHEDULE: M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.  

Responsibilities

• Candidate must have strong computer skills and familiarity in working in medical billing software.
  Adherence to processing deadlines set by the payer is required.
• Strong working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and Commercial Insurance reimbursement practices.
• Ability to read/interpret payer remittance reports and to properly apply payments as required.
• Maintain thorough documentation regarding patient claims – from billing to follow-up and payment.
• Basic to intermediate Excel/Word skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills as this person will be working with a multitude of others both internally and externally.
• Prompt, courteous and professional are additional key traits we are looking for to fill this position.

Requirements

• Good work history
• Previous billing, claims or call center experience helpful
• Detail oriented
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Ability to work on task oriented billing
• Proven experience as billing specialist
• Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with customers and data
• Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
