The Gideon Putnam is a historic destination located within Saratoga Spa State Park. Delaware North manages the hotel and dining services, as well as the famous Roosevelt Baths & Spa. 

The hotel boasts 124 rooms and 22 suites, all with views of park as well as 12,000-square feet of event space and a casual, on-site restaurant and bar, Putnam’s, serving creative cuisine inspired by the City of Saratoga Springs.

The Opportunity

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Create seating/reservation chart/Open Table System
• Provide excellent guest service to customers on the phone and in person
• Ensure timely service and overall flow in dining room
• Adhere to all universal and operational standards to ensure guest satisfaction
• Relay all guest compliments and complaints to F&B Manager
• Coordinate, deliver, and retrieve room service orders
• Assist with cocktail parties as needed
• Assist wait staff to serve guests as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walk and move with urgency
• Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Proven ability to multi-task and take direction
