Position summary:Using your experience as a Class A CDL truck driver, you will work as a member of the management team to build client relationships and manage a local fleet of teams. This position will be the front-line contact between Hogan and the customer and is responsible for overseeing all freight requests for individually assigned accounts.
Essential Job Tasks
- Manage drivers to ensure on time delivery of routes
- Handle all manpower and equipment needs
- Fill in for drivers, when necessary, to ensure deliveries are made
- Communicate in a professional and helpful manner with customers
- Promote safety with drivers by your actions and communications
- Report immediately to the customer any route issues
- Consistently review routes for better utilization
- Provide the invoice, management summary, KPI's, Warehouse hours and detention analysis in a timely manner
- Provide gross payroll to accounting
- Provide daily report to customer by 08:00 each day
- Complete all Human resource work for driver files
- Ensure all DOT requirements are met in regards to safety including log audits, reviewing 70 hour rule, randoms, equipment inspections, etc.
- Safety focus is an absolute must
- Identify and solicit additional freight opportunities
- Provide target pricing and tracking information
- Broker/Negotiate rates with outside carriers within target pay expectations
- Mitigate carrier's complaints to resolve in an efficient/professional manner
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Reefer knowledge preferred but not required
- Interpersonal skills
