Job Description
A Medical Documentation Reviewer I (MDR I) is responsible for reviewing and processing medical documentation sent by healthcare providers for Veterans. MDR I must maximize productivity, perform highly accurate data entry of personally identifiable information, and review other correspondences received from healthcare providers. Some heavy outbound calling may be required.
This is a Non-Service Contract Act (Non-SCA) covered position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Documents transactions in appropriate medical management system
*Writes responses to inquiries
Contact healthcare provider offices by telephone, collects medical notes and forwards to the VA
*Identifies, analyzes and resolves a variety of document issues
*Identifies, analyzes and resolves a variety of scheduling issues
*Contacts healthcare providers to confirm appointments
*Required to work outside of normally scheduled hours as mandated by client, project and/or workload (e.g. evenings, weekends, and/or holidays)
*Regular and on-time attendance
