Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Press Operator for a contract opportunity in Houston, TX with our partner, an energy industry leader committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that move the world forward.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the operation of the press including understanding of the parts and movement of the press.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate PM is carried out per MN-01, Preventive maintenance.
  • Assist maintenance in carrying out any troubleshooting or general maintenance activities per MN-02
  • Compliance to the EP-01, Extrusions procedure when operating the press including the job specific parameters found in EC-01.
  • Making decisions on product quality an press operation per EP-02 Supporting first article requirements per EN-06
  • Controlling the extrusions process per QP—7.5-4 and assisting in the quality improvement process from a thorough understanding of the process.
  • Inspecting or delegating the inspection of extrusions per IN-04, post extrusion inspection
  • Maintain any measurement responsibilities as identified per QP 7.6-1
  • Supporting the QP-8.5-1, corrective & preventive action system.
  • Familiarity of the cutting and identification of OMG – solid Bar per ID-08
  • Familiarity of the cutting and identification of OMG- coil per ID-09

Requirements

  • 3-6 months experience working in similar environment
  • Team player willing to assist with corrective and preventative action systems
  • Proven managerial skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with extrusion process to assist with root cause analysis
