As the flagship hospital of CHI Franciscan Health, St. Joseph Medical Center continues to be the regional leader in the use of advanced medical technologies and therapies. The 361-bed regional medical center is a level II trauma center with a Level III NICU and partnership with nationally-recognized Seattle Children’s Neonatology team.
Our NICU/Special Care Nursery has 23 beds and 1\:1 acute care staffing. The unit is covered by a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) 247, and a Neonatologist 7 days a week with grand-rounds starting at 0930. We host an annual “Preemie Party†to celebrate our NICU graduates. We are most proud of our excellent quality care and family connections.
Our NICU Leadership team is comprised of a Director, RN Clinical Manager, RN Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Respiratory Therapy Supervisor. They truly enjoy mentoring and developing staff members.

Job Summary\:
You will provide care to critically ill newborns and preemies as young as 27 weeks gestation. Implementing and assessing the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and the patient and family.
Qualification:
Job Requirements\:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
One year of related work experience is preferred
Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification high or low risk NICU preferred
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification completion within 6 months of date of hire.
