Marketing Assistant

 

Marketing Assistant is needed for a 6 month contract at a well-established international manufacturing company. Qualified candidate must have a strong Adobe background. Pay is $17-20/hour based on skills and experience.

 

The Marketing Assistant works independently to support the marketing and communication activities. They will assist with coordination and promotional tasks focused around the automotive industry. They are also responsible for the management of customer shows and coordination of sales tasks. This person will work closely with the training, product management and sales departments.

 

Duties for Marketing Assistant:

 

  • Manage monthly customer events. This includes the organizing of show site details with the respective sales team member and coordination of all items needed show site.
  • Support additional event activities to increase the brand awareness and public presentation of the company.
  • Develop content and schedule for aftermarket social accounts.
  • Update company website with national activities, and as needed content.
  • Finalize the process for in-market training. This includes working with finance and legal to ensure proper back-end support.
  • Support marketing activities that promote our training offering.
  • Coordinate in-house and professional video production. This is to include the finalizing of scripts, content and arrangement of necessities for the video shoot.
  • Work with the training department to organize webinars. This is to include the setting up and running of each webinar, including promoting and respective follow-ups.
  • Assist with marketing activities through social, sales, and other additional activities to promote and support sales initiatives.
  • Aid in building and maintaining industry relationships.
  • Assist in the maintenance and creation of presentations.
  • Perform related tasks and special projects as needed.

 

 Skills and Experience needed for Marketing Assistant:

 

  • Educational background in marketing, communications and/or journalism.
  • Professional experience of 1-3 years ideal.
  • Strong communication and writing skills required.
  • Computer / Technical Skills:
    • Microsoft proficient.
    • Experience in Adobe creative programs (InDesign and Photoshop) required.
    • Experience with writing for different forms of media preferred.
    • Experience in web programs, specifically First Spirit is desired.
  • Knowledge of the automotive market is a plus.
