$14 an hour

We are a busy multi-practitioner Family Medical Practice looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to help support clinical needs. Medical Assistants support quality patient and family centered care through performing a variety of functions within the care team as directed by practice providers. Hours would be varied - several weekday evenings, day shifts and occasional Saturdays. Working hours for our practice are 8am-8pm M-Th, 8am-5pm Friday and Saturdays 8am-2pm. We have offices in Doylestown and Jamison and all team members must be available to work in both locations.

Responsibilities include:

• Greets patients and escorts to exam rooms
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations when necessary
• Take vitals and health history - document and maintain electronic medical record
• Perform EKG’s, injections and /or phlebotomy
• Perform screening, lab tests and specimen collection
• Communicate directly or indirectly (through telephone tasks) with the practice providers in order to appropriately coordinate patient care
• Assist providers and staff with patient-related paperwork such as letters of medical necessity, DMV forms, school care plans and medication preauthorization.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality of patient information by complying with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of day-to-day work
• Maintain appearance of the clinical rooms and nursing station
• Ensure clinical work flow runs smoothly

Job Requirements:

• Current Pennsylvania CMA credential
• 1+ years’ experience – preferred in a clinical setting
• Proficient in phlebotomy and injections
• Must have a pleasant demeanor and good phone etiquette
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record software – Nextgen and / or eClinical Works a plus but not required
• Strong computer skills
• Awareness of HIPAA regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to calmly handle stressful situations
• Ability to work as a team or with little supervision to complete assigned tasks
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stay seated or standing for up to two hours at a time
• Flexible schedule: This position would include weekdays and Saturdays

Salary: $14.00 /hour
