Technical Writer - Full-time / Part-time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Producing mechanical user manuals for various machines.
• Coordinating the generation of graphics for display in the user manuals.
• Producing and/or coordinating the production of images of assembly drawings to be compiled into parts books.
• Collaborating with engineering and service personnel to produce various functional descriptions, installation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Writing a variety of technical articles, reports, and brochures for documentation for a wide range of uses.
• Organizing and coordinate documentation of various in-house programs relating to safety, environmental regulation, and quality control processes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-yr degree in related field of study, bachelor's degree preferable
• Minimum 1-yr CAD experience, SolidWorks 3D preferable
• Minimum 1-yr experience with desktop publishing software, FrameMaker preferable
• Familiarity with manipulation of PDF documents
• Familiarity with OSHA, ISO, and other safety related standards
• Forest Industry experience desirable
• Also - analytical, mechanical aptitude, detail oriented
