Overview

The role of Sales Development Representative will present a great opportunity to accelerate your career in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Industry. Your job will be to engage and qualify leads to create a pipeline for our Account Executives and Customer Success Managers. Half your pipeline will be qualifying inbound leads from our website, the other half you’ll generate through prospecting techniques, resulting in an average of 50-80 meetings per month that pay you commission on top of your salary.

Our end goal is to make you successful as a Sales Development Representative while preparing you to step into the Account Executive or Customer Success Manager role.

Responsibilities

As an SDR, your typical day will look a lot like this:

  • Effectively and independently distill and deliver the DiscoverOrg value proposition
  • Articulate DiscoverOrg’s product, integrations, and features over the phone to potential new customers, existing users and economic buyers
  • Follow the established DiscoverOrg sales process to manage a high-activity pipeline of leads
  • Build a pipeline of qualified leads for business development by cultivating relationships and identifying new segments within our existing customer base
  • Drive the value of our full suite of applications
  • Educate Director, VP, and C-level executives on the value of our full suite of products
Qualifications

We have an outstanding internal training program that can prepare you to be the best Sales Development Representative, if you'll let them. You're probably a great fit for this role if this sounds like you:

  • Ideally 1+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS sales or account management OR a Bachelor’s Degree and strong desire to pursue a challenging career in SaaS sales
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • CRM usage experience a plus (Salesforce)
  • Strong ability to close sales
  • Technology savvy
  • Competitive – you outwork everyone around you
  • Intelligent – fast learner and very capable of articulating value
