UI/Front End Software Engineer

A successful Software Engineer will have the following:

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience
• 2+ years of relevant software development experience
• High degree of comfort working with Unix-based command line applications
• In-depth understanding of modern software development including OOD, libraries and open source development
• Proven experience in engineering for modern, responsive, beautiful user interfaces
• Experience developing with third-party API's, web services and REST
• Experience developing in C++

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant experience with multiple popular languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Objective-C
• Experience with the QT framework
• Experience with embedded system development projects

Dish Technologies, in American Fork, UT, is looking for a UI/Front End Software Engineer to develop Sling Media applications.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Develops, tests and maintains user interface for consumer-facing application
• Working with other team members, as well as evaluating and researching latest device technology, coding patterns, OS Frameworks and features
• You will work with project managers and ensure that all project milestones are met. Additionally, work collaboratively with peers and teams such as Business Owners, Product and QA
• Provide technical estimates for development efforts and provide solutions to requirements presented by the Business Analysts
