Emergency Room Registration Specialist

Job Description:

• This person will be registering people after they have been sent to their room after a medical evaluation. They will use a worksite on wheels to go room to room to check in and register patients. There is no clinical side to this job, it is all preauthorization, insurance verification and front end process work.

Work Environment:

• Hospital environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years experience working in healthcare registration.
• 1 year of emergency room experience
• Experience must be within the last year

Performance Expectations:

• Once trained the goal is to check in 20 patients in an eight hour day.
