Development Engineering Manager

A successful Senior Staff Product Manager will have the following:

• A degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• 12 years of software engineering industry experience 
• 2+ years experience in engineering development management in consumer video delivery
• 6+ years experience with mobile applications 

• Expert technical knowledge in API development and implementation in embedded, cloud and mobile platforms (iOS & Android)
• Leading cross functional team to drive product from inception to launch

• Demonstrated organizational, communication, and analytical skills required for:

• Embedded software development
• Mobile apps development & deployment on iOS & Android platforms
• Integrating mobile apps and cloud services

• Experience with cloud-based technologies and products that integrate multiple 3rd party services will be highly desired
• Expertise in agile product development in a geographically distributed environment
• Proven and consistent track record of driving multi-disciplined teams and launching products
• Coordinate with QA teams in Foster City and BTC in testing and validating the products
• Demonstrated expertise in managing distributed development teams in different time zones
• Prior work experience in India – SlingMedia product development  experience highly desired

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• Manage the development engineering teams through the entire product life cycle for OTA solutions.
• Manage development team in BTC
• Investigate new technologies, analyze competitive products, recommend best solutions for Dish to deliver customer wow’ing products
