Software Test Engineer (Video Project)

Job Summary:

The Video Software Test Engineer (VSTE) will play a key role in the design, development and maintenance of software test plans, test procedures, and test automation tools used in the validation of the software in our Video Monitoring electronic systems deployed in the rail industry. The VSTE will be required to contribute to designing and developing high quality software test processes for a fast paced environment, as well as support and enhance the entire software development life cycle.

The position requires a highly-motivated engineer with the ability to participate collaboratively within a project team as well as develop technical solutions independently, execute test procedures and deliver comprehensive reports.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

* Accountable for design, development of software test plans, test procedures, and test automation tools used in the validation of the Video Monitoring electronic systems deployed in the rail industry.
* Review and analyze software requirements specifications, functional specifications, and software design documents for testability
* Develop and document requirements for test automation software.
* Ensure adequate requirements test coverage via traceability reports
* Maintain system level test plans, test procedures, and test automation tools
* Execute tests and document results from system verification and validation
* Facilitate test results reviews


80-90% of the work our client does is Embedded Systems.
