A nation's leading environmental testing firm has an immediate opening for a Chemist in the Indianapolis, IN area.

This is a Direct Placement within the company.

Job Duties:

• Preparation and analysis of environmental inorganic samples to analysis, with an emphasis on metals assay
• Cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment
• Cross training opportunities available
• This job involves 50% standing for sample preparation and analysis and 50% sitting for reporting, review and required QA paperwork
• Working with ICP-OES instrumentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry (emphasis in InOrganic or Masters with concentration in InOrganic Chem)
• 3-5 years' experience with ICP-OES instrumentation associated with inorganic assay ( very important)
• Metal assay work

NICE to have:

• Commercial lab experience - metal assay
• Knowledge of SOP's and ISO 17025 QA/QC procedures

Shift: 8:30am-5:00pm (very flexible with times)
