A successful HR Associate/Recruiter will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred, or equivalent experience; and one to three years related experience and/or training
  • Solid knowledge of local, state and federal laws governing recruiting and employment issues
  • Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives with competencies that include, but are not limited to: excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Requires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
  • Flexible, innovative in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment

The Human Resources Associate/Recruiter supports the Direct Sales division of DISH.  The main function of this position is to support HR processes in a telesales-based environment with an emphasis on full-cycle recruitment. This individual will perform full lifecycle recruiting and maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large.  In addition, this role will be responsible for facilitating benefits training sessions, roundtable sessions and Hiring Workshops. Additional responsibilities are to support DISH business partners and DISH HR with employee relations, compliance, training and general compensation and benefits issues.

  • Understands and can articulate department and DISH Network corporate business goals, including financial impacts of HR actions
  • Partner with hiring managers to scope job position to gain a solid understanding of not only the skills and educational requirements, but also to determine the qualities and attributes of a successful candidate for the specific team
  • Mine, source and screen candidates, interview, set up interviews for hiring managers, administer candidate exercises, background checks and drug screenings, conduct reference checks and extend job offers
  • Leverage online recruiting resources and in-house ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates
  • Envision and execute creative ideas to drive qualified applicant flow
  • Maintain a working knowledge of DISH Network HR policies and procedures, and benefits to be able to communicate with departments on HR and Company initiatives, particularly those related to recruiting
  • Facilitates all New Hire Orientations and Hiring Workshops
  • Conducts employee exit interviews 
  • Processes tuition reimbursement and conducts regular benefits refresher training, and assists in maintaining employee files
  • Maintains excellent relationships with both direct business partners and peripheral departments that interact with direct support groups (i.e. closely related departments, payroll, accounting, etc.)
  • Does not have on-site manager and can schedule priorities independently per business needs
