Manufacturing Engineer

POSITION: ENTRY LEVEL MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

SUMMARY:
Seeking an individual to temporarily join our Manufacturing Engineering department of a Life Science Instrumentation production site for a 3-6 month project. The candidate will perform manufacturing engineering duties to play a key role in New Product Introduction. Activities would include processing change orders in our quality system for a newly developed instrumentation and accessories, writing detailed Standard Operating Procedures, performing build to BOM against SOPs, training of manufacturing technicians on new processes and aid in the setup of the production line.

Responsibilities:
Generate detailed accurate SOPs using a build to BOM approach
Process Change Orders in our quality system to accurately capture the materials for each sub-assembly
Participate in lean events to setup the manufacturing floor to launch a new product.

Qualifications:

Work independently and communicate effectively on weekly progress
Must be detailed oriented and be able to multitask
Enrolled in or has a BS degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering
