About this job

Reports To:  General Manager

Under general supervision, the Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in all operational and financial aspects of the restaurant. The Assistant Manager helps with the staffing, equipment, product control, customer service and general upkeep of the restaurant. Business will be conducted through open communications with customers, auditing and coaching employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise preparation, cooking, and serving of food with utmost concern for food quality.
  • Assist with weekly work schedule and set-up organization of crew to properly handle business for different shifts.
  • Order inventory and supplies, and check deliveries for accuracy; process invoices for payment.
  • Properly complete weekly employee payroll sheets.
  • Ensure delivery of the highest levels of customer service and resolve all customer complaints.
  • Oversee store safety and implement proper sanitation practices.
  • Ensure proper cash handling and reporting of all monies to the corporate office.
  • Provide on-the-floor supervision to oversee line production and customer service.
  • Assist in hiring, coaching, training, motivating, evaluating and terminating crewmembers as necessary.
  • Make a positive contribution to the profits of the company.
  • Oversee the completion and accuracy of all store reporting.
  • Coach, train, and motivate Associate Manager to help them develop skills to become an Assistant Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required, some college preferred.
  • Management level experience in the food service industry preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
