About this job
We are currently hiring for a QC Microbiologist for a Biopharmaceutical company in Baltimore. Job duties and responsibilities include;
-Performs sampling of WFI (water for injection), purified water system, clean steam and compressed gases.
-Performs microbial and particulate sampling of clean rooms throughout the facility, including personnel monitoring of gowns and gloves.
-Performs microbiological testing of water, environmental, validation, in-process and finished product samples including biological indicators, endotoxin and microbial ID's (identifications).
-Accurately maintains documentation and prepares reports in association with the performing of assays.
-Follows safety regulations as per procedures and accepted lab practices
-Read, understand and follow SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
-Collaborates with Manufacturing, engineering, facilities and Quality Assurance on day-to-day activities and schedule adherence.
-Maintains inspection ready procedures and reports for audits and regulatory inspections.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience performing Environmental Monitoring in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in a laboratory and manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related discipline.
