North Asheville manufacturing facility seeking experienced Process Technician for writing manufacturing SOP's and manuals.
The Process Engineering Technician is a member of the Engineering Team and provides technical support to the manufacturing process for all operations at Mills by creating manufacturing tools and providing guidance on tool usage and product creation.
Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Identify needs for equipment, tools, jigs and manufacturing aids necessary to manufacture item.
- Regularly review existing work processes to recommend and implement changes as required to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Lead or assist in first article assembly using customer drawings and specifications.
- Work in a team environment to ensure quality products are delivered on time.
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
- Create visual aids and work instructions for use in the manufacturing and inspecting process.
- Develop job procedures and standard work instructions for sewing, inspection and assembly operations.
- Design and oversee construction or modification of workstations for production.
- Complete time studies/MTM to quantify processing times and identify areas for process improvements.
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
- Working knowledge of computer programs(Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Ability to read assembly drawings
- Ability to analyze needs and product requirements to create production tools.

Education/Experience:
Minimum: Associates Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Associates Degree in Engineering discipline.

Time Study/MTM
Lean Manufacturing Experience
Experience in textile/apparel manufacturing beneficial
