Construction Materials Tester

Our client, one of the top Engineering Consulting firms in the area, is looking to grow their team once again!

We are seeking a Construction Materials Tester to perform field inspections and observations for commercial construction projects. We have opportunities for experienced technicians with ACI and other certifications. We also have opportunities for motivated individuals without construction materials testing experience looking to start a career.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform soil density testing using both nuclear gauge and sand cone in accordance with ASTM and project specifications on site at commercial construction projects.
* Perform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with ASTM and project specifications
* Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations and density calculations and results.
* Observe proof rolls, undercut operations, perform footing inspections with dynamic cone pentameter, and inspect rebar.
* Test and work in accordance with Company safety policies.
* Will monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications.
* Will interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites.
* Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data.
* Performs sampling or testing as directed.
* Provides assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel
* Transports equipment, specimens or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.
* Cleans equipment, vehicles and work areas
* Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks
* Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.

Requirements:

- Background and MVR screening

Certifications (ACI, NICET, OR ICC) are highly desired!
