Kitchen 1883 is a new and exciting restaurant opening in Union, KY.  This fresh new take on American comfort food will feature a made from scratch menu, hand crafted cocktails with a family friendly atmosphere.  If you are ready to welcome guests into our kitchen where the ambience is built around community, have an outstanding customer service and a passion for exceptional service, then we want you to apply.

Job Functions:

• Take beverage orders from serving staff and guests seated at the bar
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that are consistent with the restaurant’s standard ingredient recipes, and practice prudent portion control
• Monitor guests at the bar for proper identification
• Adhere to all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests; ensure all laws are being followed
• Perform tasks related to cash handling (e.g., making change, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed) in order to balance all monies
• Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils and bar equipment
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar

Qualifications:

• 6 months’ bartending experience
• Strong knowledge of state and federal liquor laws
• Strong leadership, customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team and guests
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop and lift objects up to 25 pounds
