Headway Workforce Solutions, in partnership with our client, an energy industry leader, is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a contract opportunity in Winsted, CT.

Education:
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Technical Trade School
* Associate degree in Facilities Maintenance is preferred

Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge and use of elementary geometry, algebra and trigonometric principles together with
complicated drawings, specifications, charts and tables.
* Knowledge and familiarity of industrial equipment, tools, mechanical devices, and their uses to produce motion, light, power, technology, and other applications.
* Ability to diagnose and knowledge of how to repair industrial machines or systems using required equipment, tools, etc.
* Ability to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of processes.
* Problem-Solving skills required to analyze and determine the root cause and corrective action.
* Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
* Ability to quickly and repeatedly make precise adjustments in moving the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions
* Ability to follow directions and correctly follow a given rule or set of rules in order to arrange things or actions in a certain order.
* Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.


Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of related facilities and industrial maintenance experience required.
* Minimum of 1 year in mechanical and maintenance repair; experience with maintenance of PC and/or CNC controlled production and plant equipment.
* Minimum of 6 mos. of hands on use of machine shop tools and equipment (lathes, millers, grinders, etc.)

Equipment Used:
Tool room equipment, welders, basic maintenance equipment, i.e., hand tools such as hammers, drills, pipe threaders.

Hours: 3:00PM - 11:00PM, Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: Based upon experience
