Food Expeditor and Runner

  Huckleberry Café & Bakery is an upscale Santa Monica bakery, café featuring delicious pastries, artisan sandwiches, daily made soups, salads and daily farmer’s market driven specials. The Expeditor is front of house position that performs a number of kitchen and dining room activities including food running, ticket reading, food quality assurance, completing dishes, customer service, and food prep.

Each expeditor’s responsible for working quickly and efficiently to support the line cooks and ensure that guests receive what they ordered. 

Requirements 

· Ability to multi-task.

· Strong communication skills.

· Flueant in English and ability to understand and communicate in Spanish.

· Kitchen experience is a plus. 

· Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene. 

· California Food Handler’s card.

· Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers verbally.

· Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
