Our Exciting Work Environment

This position will be located at Target Field, the Minnesota Twins stadium in Minneapolis, MN, home to the MLB American League Minnesota Twins. Sportservice currently has the full service contract for this 40,000+-seat state of the art facility, which includes concessions, premium services, catering and retail. 

The Opportunity
POSITION SUMMARY 
Greeting and seating guests in accordance with Company’s Guest Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards. Communicate service options available in club dining environment
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviews floor plan and reservation system daily and creates seating chart. Sets up the host station
Greeting and seating guests according to seating chart, server rotation and guest preference
Maintains control of the indoor/outdoor seating and wait times 
Cleans and maintains host station and contributes to the cleanliness of the dining and bar areas
Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
Answers guest questions regarding service and provides general assistance for guests and employees  
Provides a farewell wish and thanks to all guests as they are departing the club area
Answers restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation
Performs other duties as assigned
 
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists as needed with general cleaning, removing and emptying garbage, bussing tables, delivering items tableside and re-stocking supplies and food product.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in guest service environment preferred, not mandatory
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Guest Service Standards
Attentive and detailed oriented.
Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Capable of performing specified procedures and following instructions
Effective communication and listening skills; ability to communicate with guests and co-workers
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift, includes walking up and down stairs 
Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners 
Frequent walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to read seating chart and communicate with guests
 
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Indoor, climate-controlled restaurant environment. Outdoor, variable seasonal temperatures
