We are currently looking for a Territory Sales Manager (Salaried Exempt 1-103) to join our team in the Lansing, MI market.  This position reports to Mark Goldsberry.     

 

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will:

Maximize share of wallet with assigned Haworth-led accounts (target, new, existing) by partnering with dealer customers in assigned territory to focus clients towards Haworth solutions, including all product lines, on ongoing basis, to increase sales and Haworth market share.  Develop and strengthen primary and secondary relationships at dealer customers to establish Haworth as first choice in proposing solutions to end-user clients and influencers that result in increased sales and market share. Work through the sales process including qualifying, relationship building, needs evaluation, solution development/ presentation and closing. Accountable for achieving sales goals and revenue from Haworth-led accounts.

 

Do you have the following required qualifications?  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Interior Design, Marketing or Communications.
  • 3 years of contract/capital goods selling experience in generating and closing new business, solutions selling, and account management with preferably quota retirement responsibilities, including experience with end-users, influencers (A&D/real estate), and dealer networks.
  • Ability to travel daily away from “home offices” to territory in Lansing and Midland. Also, travel to Holland headquarters 2-4 days per month.   
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

 

Do you have the following preferred qualifications?

  • Knowledge of assigned territory (competitive landscape, key influencers – A&D, real estate, developers) preferred.
  • Furniture or interiors industry experience.

 

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Selling skills, e.g., prospect qualification; lead generation; new business development; account penetration; strategic, conceptual, issues-based, and consultative selling; negotiation; and contracts (closing).
  • Ability to self-manage, including setting priorities and effectively managing time to achieve required results.
  • Proven ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with all levels of end-user clients, influencers, dealer customers, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Strong networking skills to mine out new business opportunities with end-user clients and influencer relationships.
  • Ability to effectively manage dealer customer relationships and contribute to generating profitable dealer/Haworth sales results.
  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to close small, medium and large sales opportunities with support from sales management.
