SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Sr. Data Integrity/Business Analyst will support Vail Resorts Retail/Rental, Marketing and Merchandise Management teams by developing and maintaining tools that influence strategic thinking, inform decision-making, improve execution, and provide analysis of business performance. Additionally, this role requires alignment with the IT team regarding data sources and best practices in obtaining reliable data. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL is imperative for success in this role. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Finance and works closely with the Director of Rental Operations and the Director of Marketing.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

•             Analyze and provide information to management regarding rental product, price and business performance..

•             Develop and maintain tools to facilitate seasonal (Winter and Summer) rental product and price management review process to inform decision making and execution of product and pricing strategies.

•             Analyze rental fleet usage and develop a process to determine optimal fleet composition.

•             Assist in the development of the annual rental fleet CapEx request, analyze rental asset performance to inform the CapEx request process and track performance against the CapEx plan.

•             Responsible for creating and maintaining tools to automate/improve various analyses and reporting.

•             Assist in the development of rental and service divisional sales budgets.

•             Conduct regular and ad-hoc reporting, analysis and forecasting of business performance vs. KPI’s.

•             Regular financial and non-financial metrics analysis, reporting and presentation to senior management.

•             Marketing metrics and campaign effectiveness analysis on a regular and ad-hoc basis.

•             Must be proficient in SQL to conduct database analysis as needed.

•             Prepare departmental operating budgets, forecasts, capital budgets.

•             Anticipate changes in business and advise on strategic plan.

•             Prepare and distribute financial summaries and reports.

•             Provide variance analysis and commentary.

•             Maintain internal controls and ensure proper reporting and accounting practices are followed (SOX compliance).

•             Other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•             Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or IT, or relevant work experience (Master’s Degree Preferred)

•             5-7 years in finance/IT/Business Analysis or Marketing

•             Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.  PeopleSoft Financials a plus, SQL experience required

•             Fluent in all aspects of English

•             Strong technical, analytical, presentation, and leadership skills preferred
