The IT Audit intern conducts technology-focused audit in areas such as cybersecurity, digital marketing, and supply chain, participates in regular risk discussions with leadership, conducts data-driven and statistical analysis, and assists with compliance audits.

Our IT Audit Internship is typically a path to IT Auditor I but an opportunity to explore many other positions within our business as well.

The internship program opportunity is 10-weeks in duration. As an intern, your work is project based to give you the opportunity to expand your portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with fellow interns in areas such as marketing, inventory analysis, and information technology throughout the summer.

  • Participate in activities including leadership sessions, training, and social events.

  • Experience the Internal Audit methodology through participating in audit planning activities, fieldwork (testing), and reporting. This will include interviewing management, identifying risks, determining scope, conducting analysis, and communicating findings.

  • Assist in performing risk-based audits and special projects in areas such as digital marketing, IT asset management, and security event detection.

  • Exposure to compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, PII), Information Technology and operational areas such as digital marketing and security event detection.

  • Learn analysis and documentation techniques through writing audit memos and reports.


Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Accounting, or Finance.

  • Concentration in Information Security, Data Analytics, or Statistics preferred.

  • Candidates must be able to work effectively on concurrent activities.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
