Merchandising Representative - Full-time / Part-time

Job DescriptionMerchandising bakery items at Walmart in Sullivan. The physical address of the Wal Mart in Sullivan, MO is 350 Park Ridge Rd, Sullivan, MO 63080. Wal Mart is the only account you will be working Sunday you will be performing the service (3 times) and we will plan to utilize daily going forward after that (3 times Wed and 3 times Sun).During the week the hours would be 4-7 pm on the average 4-5 times a week. On Sunday and Wednesday it would be approximately 6am -5:30 pm. While bread is not heavy in and of itself, the role of a merchandiser is quite a bit of physical work. The merchandisers roll stacks of baskets of bread on dollies to and from the bread shelf. The empty bread baskets are segregated by variety and stacked onto empty dollies. Our bread products are placed on shelves ranging from the top shelf of the aisle to the bottom shelf.The bread baskets (weighing 20-30 pounds) are stacked up to 7- high in the store rooms of the accounts. Each account limits the amount of space that is allowed for back stock. In summation, it is a LOT of repetitive lifting and, when filling lower shelves, crawling or kneeling on the floor. The items on the lowest shelves are Great Value items (Wal Mart-s brand of private Label) and unfortunately have enormous volume. This means there a great percentage of the work that is done on the lower shelves. And due to the volume the shelves have to be stocked full, On buns this means stacking buns four rows deep.
