POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing the delivery of care; and with the approval of the patient establishes reasonable and measurable goals within a specific timeframe. The professional Physical Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree preferred.

0-1 years of experience required. 2-4 years of related experience preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

NJ State Physical Therapist License.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to perform diversified duties within time limitations with a high degree of accuracy.

Organizational skills including: ability to handle confidential information, ability to float as requested by supvr/mgr., ability to maintain good health and constant attendance.

Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing.

Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Frequent/strenuous physical effort (e.g. heavy lifting, sustained physical effort, extensive carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.)
