Planning Technician, Temporary

LOCATION: Vancouver, WA

SALARY: $23.65/hour

JOB DESCRIPTION: A local government agency seeks an efficient and detailed Planning Technician to temporarily join their team! In this role, you will utilize your years of experience working with title companies, surveyors, or within community development to review legal lot descriptions. Your skills with various GIS software and knowledge of platting laws and zoning regulations will serve you greatly in this role! Primary duties will include: reviewing legal lot descriptions for lot configurations; referencing a list of codes and dates to determine legality of lot creation; other relevant duties as needed. Hours for this position are flexible Monday-Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will offer:

- At least three years of planning experience.

- Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Engineering, Geography or related field. or an educational background in Engineering or Planning.

- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Strong knowledge of planning principles and practices.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and GIS software.

- Strong interpersonal skills are a must to be successful in this role!
