Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for all product manufacturing operations of the Embedded Data Collector product line. Support new product development and product enhancements roll out, including updated processes, components engineering activities, documentation, and fix design where required.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain and keep current existing manufacturing procedures, calibration databases, and production configuration management documentation
* Maintain current production BOM, supplier source, and costing data
* Identify and qualify alternate component material sources
* Continue process improvement towards more efficient product manufacturing operations
* Maintain time studies towards reducing product assembly labor requirements
* Work to identify lower cost material providers, and work to schedule material availability in a JIT basis where applicable
* Develop, set up, and run qualification test plans on alternate components
* Ensure material delivery schedules to support production operations
* Develop and maintain production fix Turing
* Initiate requests for product design changes in an ongoing effort to reduce costs
* Participate in design review activities when necessary

Qualifications:
* 5 years of manufacturing lead experience in an electronics environment
* Experience with Electronics- soldering and calibration
* Experience in any ERP for production, Inventory modules, preferably in MS GP
* Fluent in using and maintaining Windows based computer systems in a networked Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel)
