Software Test Engineer - Automation

Requirements

• Bachelors degree and 2 years of related experience or Master’s degree and 1 year of related experience, preferably in computer science, computer engineering or other technical (STEM) field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least one year of enterprise experience in software development
• At least one year of experience with Microsoft technology stack: ASP.Net MVC, C#, Visual Studio
• At least one year of experience with Python, JavaScript, jQuery, MVC, MVVM, Bootstrap, JS libraries like AngularJS, KnockoutJS 
• At least one year of experience of creating/using RESTful Web Services and using third party libraries
• At least one year of experience developing for RDBMS

Desired Skills

• Two or more years of experience working in Agile environment to meet deadlines
• Two or more years of experience of implementing unit testing
• Hands on experience or have good knowledge on continuous integration, deployment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• One or more years of experience with version controls like Git, TFS
• Strong desire to learn quickly, adapt to changes, and wok in a cross-functional team
• Experience with Set Top Box features
• Familiarity with NoSQL database like MongoDB
• Experience of developing in UNIX based environments, creating shell scripts
• Three or more years of experience with PHP scripting for web applications

Dish Technologies is seeking a Software Test Engineer at our Englewood, CO office to be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated software validation testing on a wide-range of configurations and Set Top Box (STB) models. A core responsibility of this role will be to evaluate software features as candidates for automation. The Software Tester will also be responsible for participation within the entire SDLC of automation test procedures, tools, and measurement for internal and external products and services.  

Primary responsibilities include:

• Work with a small team of Software Engineers to develop and maintain Software applications
• Participate in design discussions and contribute in finding solutions for software engineering problems
• Participate in maintaining the existing applications as well as add new features to it
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to enhance/implement software solutions
