Quality Assurance Technician

Candidate will be responsible for working in all three areas of Quality (Lab, Production Floor, Shipping Dock).

% of Day:
40%- Lab (in-process testing)
40%- Production Floor (metal detection, visual inspection)
20%- Shipping Docks (raw material inspection)

Responsibilities Include:
+Will sit at their dock and check the incoming raw materials for their condition. Will also have to cut open product like garlic. Will also check outgoing labels.
+Operate Analytical Testing equipment to support quality data gathering
+Calibrate all analytical testing equipment consistently without help from others
+Perform ATP swabbing as required and explain results to others as necessary.
+Monitor HACCP CCP'S and be able to show knowledge to operators of CCP'S.
+Have knowledge of food safety and quality as determined by SQF certification requirements, regulated juice HACCP and company policy.
+Calibrate metal detectors, Pasteurizer RTD'S. Be able to explain to others and demonstrate consistent proficiency.
+Review materials for performance to specification.
+Observe GMP compliance and explain to appropriate leadership parties the reason for basic violations.
+Perform consistent daily in process product testing to work order specifications with minimum help from supervision.
+Review and adjust batch samples per specification consistently and with minimum assistance in making necessary adjustments to salt, acid, brix, pH, Aw, viscosity, color and moisture.
+Enter daily test sample data into company information system and work order.
+Correct procedure is followed with minimum corrections by supervisor.
+Perform daily morning review procedure consistently and accurately.
+Perform, as required outside analysis requests.
+Perform hold and release procedures including labeling consistently and with minimal help.
+Perform retain procedures consistently and with minimal oversight by supervisor.
