Leidos has an immediate opening for a full-time NATO Special Operations Forces (SOF) Intelligence Subject Matter Expert (SME) and instructor. The successful candidate will work closely with the NATO SOF Headquarters and other team members to analyze, develop, and implement solutions related to NATO SOF readiness at the operational and strategic levels. The successful candidate will be expected to analyze the needs of NATO s special operations intelligence community and then develop and present high quality solutions for intermediate and senior level personnel. Candidate will be expected to lead highly interactive seminars, support exercises, develop doctrine, and support training and education requirements. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to perform research to support lesson/curriculum development and build targeted lessons, classroom exercises, and discussion groups for students who are not native-English speakers. Candidate will be expected to attend at least one NATO exercise within a 12-month period as a trainer/observer in order to incorporate current lessons observed into curriculum updates. This is a position on unique, diverse, international, and distributed team that offers challenging work while requiring someone who can work both alone and collaboratively to meet support requirements and deadlines.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a subject matter expert on intelligence support to special operations.
Develop and deliver (instruct) training and educational curriculum based on adult learning and English second language standards, principles, and procedures
Serve as a facilitator and/or mentor to students or participants during courses or exercises
Prepare lesson plans, teaching plans, lectures, presentations, briefings, and lead discussions for a vast target audience at various levels in multiple environments (e. g. classroom, syndicate, laboratory, etc.)
Develop and maintain knowledge bases, course manuals, exercise/training support packages, handouts, study aids, and assessments as required
Collaborate with team members to analyze and design resident curriculum to meet NATO Special Operations School standards
Collaborate and participate in e-Education curriculum development to meet distance learning requirements
Ensure course materials are maintained, updated, and improved as required to remain current and relevant while participating in educational quality improvement activities
Coordinate and collaborate with members of the NATO Special Operations Headquarters on training, education, doctrine, and exercises related to support for special operations and integration for SOF
Participate in exercises or other events as required and incorporate observations and lessons learned into curriculum, doctrine, or training as required
Collaborate, conduct research, and develop doctrine, publications, and manuals related to support to special operations and associated skills/techniques
Serve as a solutions architect for e-Education, digital knowledge bases, and digital tools to aid product delivery, education solutions, training support, collaboration, and communications


Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Citizen of a NATO member nation and have 7-10 years of experience as an intelligence analyst, planner, and/or manager at the tactical and operational levels
Service in at least one mid-level assignment/position in a special operations organization with extensive personal experience supporting special operations (preferably as a member of a deployed SOF task force)
A minimum of a Secret Clearance eligible for Top Secret
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent (Master s Degree preferred); equivalent is defined as 4 additional years of relevant experience
Experience with developing training solutions, scenarios, or simulations to aid training, education, mission preparation, or to enhance technical development
NATO/NATO SOF experience
International and/or NATO SOF training and education experience
Experience as a successful classroom instructor/educator
Able to write, speak, and teach in English and demonstrate outstanding speaking, writing, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills, experience working as a member of a team
Highly capable of operating independently and working effectively in a distributed workforce
Skilled and current in intelligence analysis software including analyst notebook
Fully competent with Microsoft Office suite of automation tools including PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:
Formal education or experience with adult education, education technology, instructional system design, and/or e-Education
Experience with multi-national SOF operations
Experience planning at the joint force command, joint task force, joint special operations task force, and/or special operations component command
Deployed staff or operational experience in any mid-level operational intelligence position
Strategic intelligence experience
Experience or qualification with a learning management system (LMS)
Experience integrating databases and/or family of tools (e. g. ArcGIS, Palantir, NETPLAN, CPOF, NCOP, JCHAT, etc.)
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
The job does not require moving; telecommuting is authorized. Travel is approximately 25%, mainly to European locations.
