As the Mission Assurance Center Subject Matter Expert, you will be tasked to provide operational systems administration support at any of the manned sites for the NISSC contract. This position will require personal flexibility; the ideal candidate will be able to support a variety of shifts (days, swings, or mids) at any of three Mission Assurance Center locations in the Colorado Springs area, as well as Offutt AFB, and 2 Forward User locations in the greater Washington D. C. area. This shift coverage may range from a few days at a time to a few months, depending on mission needs. This position requires a self-starter, able to perform a variety of systems administration tasks on the CCIC2S enterprise, with minimal supervision and support. Duties include, but are not limited to: Conducting systems administration activities necessary to maintain operations; providing advanced mission systems monitoring and restoration at the site and enterprise level; managing all mission systems, user accounts, and profiles; receiving/assessing customer trouble-calls and properly documenting all incidents. Assisting in the deployment of system patches and upgrades. Working special projects, as mission needs allow. Documenting, reporting, and tracking system incidents and discrepancy reports. Participating in an on-call rotation, providing advanced systems support to the operational crews. Traveling to mission locations, outside of the Colorado Springs area, to gain/maintain site/systems knowledge, or to provide for systems support. Amount of travel will be dependent upon mission needs.

When not directly supporting operations at the above locations, this position will be based at Cheyenne Mountain AFS, Colorado Springs, Colorado, on a traditional schedule.

Required Skills:

. Advanced, demonstrated knowledge of the CCIC2S Mission architecture and ITW/AA Mission, to include the 721 CS Systems Center, Alternate Command Center, Missile Warning Center, Alternate Domain Center, and Qualification Trainer, in Cheyenne Mountain, the NORAD-NORTHCOM Command Center and Test and Development Facility, at Peterson AFB, and support of Forward User systems, located in the Greater D. C. area. As well, must possess the ability to provide guidance and training on advanced systems and networking support, to systems administrators, and training to end-users.

. Advanced knowledge of the Windows and Oracle Solaris operating systems, to include administering Solaris Logical Domains, as well as Oracle server and storage architecture

. Strong knowledge of virtual machine architecture

. Working knowledge of the Oracle RDBMS

. Strong knowledge of the Cheyenne Mountain Message Processor (CMP) system

. Strong knowledge of Forward User systems and the Processing Display Subsystem Migration (PDS-M)

. Minimum of 10 years experience administering the CCIC2S Enterprise, PDS-M, and CMP systems in an Operational environment

. Ability to perform system patch management and deployment, using Altiris or other similar system

Ability to remove old equipment, install replacement hardware, and configure servers and clients

Ability to optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning

. Current Security + (or equivalent) with current enrollment in Continuing Education

Active Top Secret/SSBI Clearance, clearable to TS/SCI, is required to start

Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of the Test and Development Facility Mission Assurance Center (TMAC)

Required Education:

Bachelor s Degree and 6-plus years of applicable experience, or 14 years of applicable experience
