Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining packaging and processing machinery such as fillers, cappers, case packers, box formers, hot melt sealing systems, printers, labelers, pumps, mixers and valves. Other equipment would be as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, material handling equipment and blending/mixing systems.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on 2 nd Shift. 2 nd shift hours are from 4pm-2:30am Monday-Friday must be open to overtime and occasional weekends as needed.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
  2. Wire moderately complex control circuits.
  3. Check, wire, and troubleshoot high voltage poly-phase and multi-speed motors.
  4. Calibrate and repair control elements in process loops.
  5. Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
  6. Weld various types of metals.
  7. Machine most metals, plastics, and composites.
  8. Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
  9. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment.
  10. Navigate and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.
  11. Complete work orders and confirmations in SAP.
  12. Identify problems and completes repairs, with minimal downtime or supervision.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walking and standing for long period of time
  • 1 year of Hi/Lo voltage electrical experience
  • 1 year of PLC troubleshooting experience
