Client is urgently seeking a candidate with EMC testing experience and knowledge of the industry for a supervisor role in the laboratory! Candidates of all varying degrees of experience are encouraged to apply! Pay is based on experience.

Qualified candidates for this role will...
-Supervise, coordinate, and prioritize the daily activities of Engineering Lab Technicians engaged in technical procedures including DVT, Reliability, Product Evaluation, Regulatory, and competitive analysis in support of Engineering product development and determination of product conformity to design specifications.
-Monitor progress and allocate resources to assure project tasks are completed on schedule.
-Oversee the status of parts, equipment, facilities, chemicals, tools, and related materials within the lab area to ensure maximum efficiency, including equipment calibration and preventive maintenance.
-Assist in the design, development and procurement of test and measurement equipment and procedures.
-Assist with the development of laboratory practices & procedures.
Performs Agency certification and EMC / EMI testing for Electronic and Electro-mechanical projects
-Supports EMC, product safety, and radio approvals from pre-scans / construction reviews through final regulatory approval
Supports project testing with regulatory (NRTL's, Notified Bodies, etc.), EMC testing labs, and governmental agencies to secure appropriate global approvals
-Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant EMC standards and testing methods.
-Participates in technical design reviews to (a) determine regulatory requirements, (b) communicate those requirements to the project team, (c) participate in design decisions that affect compliance and (d) estimate work load for regulatory tasks
-Works with Engineering to resolve compliance issues turned up during testing
-Follows all safety protocols and maintains excellent project organization
-Assists with training and education of Product Design Engineers and other Lab Techs.
-Some local travel is required

Qualifications...
*2-5 years of regulatory agency experience in a Product Testing environment
*background in EMC testing and mitigation. Previous hands-on EMC Testing experience is a big plus.
*Literate in the use of Microsoft Office tool set
*Team leader with strong interpersonal skills and unquestionable ethics
*Self motivator with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to keep project teams engaged and on task is essential.
*Hands-On experience testing and certifying products with electronic controls to include Emissions and Immunity standards for FCC, EU, and Australia. UL, CSA and IEC standards a plus.
*Competent with intermediate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles
*Experience working in an ISO 17025 laboratory environment a plus
*Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent Hayward to customers, suppliers and third-party approval agencies on a professional level
*Ability to research, interpret and apply worldwide standards
*Working knowledge of regulatory compliance schemes
*Experience conducting hands-on testing of: mechanical and electrical safety, radiated and line conducted emissions, and immunity
*Ability to interpret results and troubleshoot test setups
*Proven problem solving, analytic, and logical reasoning skills
*Experience with PCB layout and shielding design for EMC mitigation

Preferred...

*Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering-- commensurate experience will also be considered

*2-3 years of supervisory or management experience
