External Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
 Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations in the GI Endoscopy setting. Assists with diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy procedures. Assignments flex between HC-MA GI/SDS and Trinity Health Hospital GI Lab. Takes call at the hospital GI Lab on a rotating schedule.
 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Licenses and Certifications Required
• Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with certification every two (2) years preferred, must be obtained within 1 year of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with certification every two (2) years preferred, must be obtained within 1 year of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) with certification every two (2) years preferred, must be obtained within 1 year of hire
2. Educational Requirements
• RN program as evidenced by licensure
3. Experience Requirements
• Minimum one year Nursing Experience preferred
• IV Competency
• Previous Endoscopy Experience preferred
• Previous Ambulatory Care Experience preferred
• Previous experience monitoring Moderate Sedation patients preferred
4. Special Skills or Training Requirements
• Computer Experience required
• Previous Experience working with and trouble shooting medical equipment preferred
• Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and airway management preferred
