Warehouse Manager

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Manager (1st Shift - 8 AM start) located in Mundelein, IL. This individual will o versee and direct daily warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw material and finished goods inventories. Plan and schedule department actions to ensure the prompt delivery of product of the kind and in the amount ordered.

• Oversee and manage the warehouse including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
• Organize and supervise the coordination of available labor with shipping and receiving requirements. Ensure completion of all tasks accurately and on a timely basis while minimizing the total labor cost.
• Account for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities; oversee the audit of goods received into warehouse.
• Oversee receipt, storage and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain inventory integrity through training and implementation of proper techniques and through use of cycle counts.
• Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by being familiar with and enforcing all Medline Safety rules. Ensure proper housekeeping takes place and is documented.
• Assist with long-range planning of staffing levels and space utilization to account for growth and the changing profile of the business.
• Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 5 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
• Intermediate skill level in functional area.
• Intermediate level in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Ability to spend tme on any shift the facility works.
• Physically capable of performing normal warehouse duties (e.g. lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, kneeling, qualified on all warehouse MHE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Computerized warehouse system experience and SAP experience.
