Project Estimator

Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V) is looking for an experienced PROJECT ESTIMATOR for its new and rapidly growing Design-Build Group. You will thrive in this position at F&V if: * Your passion is working with numbers and calculations; * You love competition, getting the right price andwinning the job; * You are flexible and love multi-tasking The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining F&V s estimating software system, including providing detailed cost estimates, reviewing plans, specifications and pertinent reports and documents related to our projects. Preferred Qualifications * Construction Management or related degree. * Five years of experience in commercial contractor estimating. * Experience in Timberline estimating software, Excel, Word and Outlook. * Ability to produce proposals on multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities * Oversee development and implementation of all estimating procedures. * Ensure current estimating systems, procedures and equipment are operating efficiently. * Attend pre-bid meetings as needed, assist in evaluation of projects to determine interest, goals and strategies with senior management staff. * Solicit subcontractors and suppliers for proposals and maintain an updated list of both. * Oversee distribution of plans and specifications to subcontractors and suppliers. * Review production rates with senior management prior to final proposals and on regular basis to estimate and revise production rates. * Monitor weekly and final production performance of projects. Assist project managers in communication of changes to work scope, construction overruns and performance issues. We look forward to receiving your resume!
