The Regional Sales VP will lead and manage one of our Regional Sales teams as well as be accountable for delivery of specified sales results. As a coach, you will assist your team with complex customer and stakeholder relationships and continue to develop your teama??s sales acumen through on-going, meaningful performance feedback. This role is responsible for developing and executing all key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve Regional and National sales targets. As a Regional Sales VP, expected to foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization's efficient operation and success. You will report directly to the VP of Sales and have direct access to the Executive Team.
Essential Job Duties
  • Recruits, hires, and develops higher performing sales teams capable of growing and exceeding revenue targets year over year.
  • Leads and engages a team of outside sales and account management professionals across multiple states; fosters an environment that permits growth and development to deliver to their peak capability.
  • Provides comprehensive territory plans and pipeline updates to sales leadership and other executives; closely monitors progress against objectives and defines and implements programs to maximize organization success.
  • Implements and ensures the integrity of the sales process, following guidelines established in collaboration with Finance and Sales Operations for tracking and recording sales information via Salesforce.com.
  • Ensures the experience of DreamBox Learning customers is meaningful and engaging throughout the sales process.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of key customer needs and industry trends to inform sales and product management initiatives.
  • Works closely with sales leadership and business operations to establish a training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies. Prioritizes training objectives for selling, sales management and sales support roles.
  • Collaborates with Finance, HR and Sales Leadership to design and improve sales incentive programs to support market competitive pay, sales organization strategy and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Special projects/initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelora??s degree in education or a related field; mastera??s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience with a team of direct reports, demonstrated ability to grow year-over-year results.
  • ? 10+ years of experience as a hands-on sales professional in outside sales roles; proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market segment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of K-12 market space, e-learning products, markets and funding sources.
  • Adept at understanding the sales process, removing roadblocks and creating tools to lift team and organization productivity.

  • Ability and desire to travel extensively throughout assigned territory
