Equipment Service Technician
Position Description:
Line side emergency repair. Machine checks Preventative maintenance duties. Line troubleshooting. Reporting of problems / repairs. Weekend machine repair / PM's. Process and follow up work orders. Maintain a clear and organized work area. Use Maximo for parts ordering. Research component failures, document, develop and implement countermeasures.
Responsibilities:
Line side emergency repair. Machine checks Preventative maintenance duties. Line troubleshooting. Reporting of problems / repairs. Weekend machine repair / PM's. Process and follow up work orders. Maintain a clear and organized work area. Use Maximo for parts ordering. Complete department training requirements. Research component failures, document, develop and implement countermeasures.
Daily Tasks:
Attend shift meetings. Perform equipment inspections. Support emergency breakdowns. Process work orders and repairs. Document and communicate daily work.
Required Experience:
Minimum three years experience in electrical troubleshooting in an industrial or manufacturing environment including metal stamping presses, robotics, and conveyor system experience. Internal candidates must have TDP completion certification or co-op experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer daily entry. Capability to work with minimal supervision. Good communication skills. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment functions and components. Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
Required Experience:
Strong PLC troubleshooting skills. Demonstrate a proactive approach with equipment maintenance Troubleshooting abilities. Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Position Factors:
Working in Stamping Department, on and around industrial equipment. Must have strong sense of safety and ability to make sound decisions quickly and effectively.
Support Stamping Department needs and requests as needed.
Provide training and mentoring EMG Team and others on the Honda Way.
Educational Requirements:
2 Year Technical Degree or equivalent work experience.
